Yumclip terms of use
This page is a translation. If it differs from the French version, the version more favourable to you applies.
Updated: 27 October 2026
1. Who we are
Yumclip is an app published by DEV PIXEL, SARL (a French limited liability company), 6 rue d’Armaille, 75017 Paris (details in the legal notice). Any questions: [email protected].
2. Accepting these terms
By using Yumclip, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you installed Yumclip from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement also applies.
Yumclip is reserved for people aged 16 and over; the nutrition guide, for people aged 18 and over.
3. What Yumclip does
Yumclip turns a recipe video (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook), a web page or a photo into a recipe card, then helps you plan your meals, do your shopping and cook.
- Free: 5 imports per account, which do not renew (only successful imports count), and all the rest of the app.
- Yumclip Plus (paid): unlimited imports, the nutrition guide and the catalog’s recipes.
A few limits against abuse apply to everyone (for example, a number of refused imports per day). Yumclip does not keep the videos: each recipe card links to the creator’s video.
The app evolves. If a change reduces what Plus gives you during a period you have already paid for, we will tell you beforehand.
4. Your account
You can start without an account, then create one (Apple, Google or e-mail) to keep your recipes. Keep your password to yourself.
You can delete your account at any time: My account › My data › Delete my account (see also Delete your account). Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it first.
5. Yumclip Plus
Price. €4.99 per month or €29.99 per year in France, all taxes included; elsewhere, the price shown by the store. The price that counts is the one shown at the time of purchase.
Payment. You pay in the app, through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms. The purchase is made with the store, which acts on our behalf: in the European Union, Apple Distribution International Ltd. (App Store) or Google Commerce Limited (Google Play); elsewhere, the company shown on your receipt. The store collects the payment, issues your receipt and handles refunds. We never see your bank card.
Free trial. The annual plan starts with 7 free days, if the store says you are eligible. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial, the annual subscription starts and is charged.
Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) until you cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end so as not to pay for the next one.
Cancelling. With the store that bills you, whenever you like: in the app, My account › Manage or cancel in the App Store (or … on Google Play) opens its page; or in your Apple account settings (Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). Plus stays open until the end of the paid period. The articles of the Code de la consommation (the French Consumer Code) on renewal and cancellation are reproduced in Annex 1.
“1 month free” codes. A code opens one month of Plus on the annual plan. At the end of the month, the annual subscription starts and is charged, unless you cancel it before then.
Withdrawal. You have 14 days after the purchase to withdraw, without giving any reason. Do so with the store that billed you, under its terms (App Store: from your purchase history; Google Play: through a refund request), or send us a clear statement, or the form in Annex 2, at [email protected]: we will guide you. The store refunds you under its terms; on our side, we ask nothing of you for the days of Plus already used. A free trial is not charged.
End of Plus. Your account goes back to free; all your recipes stay there.
6. Recipes and their creators
The videos and texts you import belong to their authors. Yumclip helps you keep a recipe for your personal use, with the creator’s name and the link to their video: do not republish it as if it were your own. The recipe drawn from a public video may be reused for other people who import the same video, without anything that concerns you.
Are you a creator and want us to remove a recipe drawn from your video? Write to [email protected] with the link.
What you write and your photos remain yours: you only authorise us to keep them and display them for you.
7. Artificial intelligence: re-read before you cook
Imported recipe cards are written by the artificial intelligence service of one of our providers (see the privacy policy). It can make mistakes. Re-read the recipe before you cook, especially the quantities, cooking times and allergens, and correct it with “Edit recipe”.
Labels such as “gluten-free” or “vegan” are indications, not a guarantee. If you have an allergy, check every ingredient and its labels.
Calories and the nutrition guide are estimates (Ciqual table from Anses, the French food safety agency), not medical advice. For a health concern, a pregnancy or a prescribed diet, ask a health professional for advice.
The app’s illustrations and the catalog’s photos are created with artificial intelligence tools.
8. The catalog
The catalog’s recipes come from Wikilivres (the French-language Wikibooks) or from public-domain books, adapted and translated by Yumclip; each one cites its source and its licence. A recipe from Wikilivres remains under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence: you may reuse it under that licence.
Searching the catalog and seeing its recipes as cards is free; opening a recipe and adding it to your recipes takes Yumclip Plus. A recipe already added stays in your recipes, even without Plus.
9. What is prohibited
- getting around the service’s limits (multiple accounts, bots, scripts);
- mass-copying Yumclip’s recipes;
- attacking the service or trying to read other people’s data;
- importing or writing illegal content.
In these cases, we may limit or suspend your account, telling you beforehand, except in an emergency or in case of fraud.
Reporting illegal content. Our single point of contact, for you as for the authorities (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act, Articles 11 and 12), is [email protected], in French or in English; a person replies to you. To report illegal content kept in Yumclip, write to us why it is illegal, where it is (link or name of the recipe), your name and your e-mail, and that you are reporting it in good faith. We confirm receipt, then our decision. If we remove any of your content or limit your account, we tell you why, on the basis of which rule, and how to challenge it: by replying to us, or in court. These decisions are taken by a person, not by an automated tool.
10. Ownership
The app, its name, its mascot, its texts and its illustrations belong to DEV PIXEL. You may use the app for your personal use, as long as you comply with these terms.
11. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep Yumclip working, without being able to promise that it will never stop (maintenance, outage, a platform blocking its videos). Your recipes remain readable without a network connection.
DEV PIXEL owes you a service that conforms to the contract (legal guarantee of conformity, Articles L. 224-25-12 et seq. of the Code de la consommation, the French Consumer Code) and is liable for its failures under the conditions laid down by law. We are not liable for the content of creators and platforms. Nothing here reduces your rights as a consumer.
12. Changes
For a significant change to these terms, the app will tell you before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
13. Disputes
These terms are governed by French law; if you live in another country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of its law. Write to us first at [email protected]: we will look for a solution with you. We have not yet appointed a consumer mediator; as soon as we have, their name and contact details will appear here, and you will be able to refer the matter to them free of charge. You can also bring the matter before the competent court.
Annex 1: renewal and cancellation in the Code de la consommation
Article L215-4 of the Code de la consommation requires these articles to be reproduced here in full (official text, in French).
Article L215-1.
